REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS ON GREEN CARDS
Two types of Green Cards are issued with conditions:
- Green Card through Marriage and
- Green Card through Investment.
These are called Conditional Green Cards. To stay in the U.S., the holder of these cards must remove the conditions.
Failure to apply for removal of conditions will lead to expiration of the Green Card. Conditional resident status will automatically be terminated, and the USCIS will initiate removal (deportation) proceedings.
