USA GREEN CARD LOTTERY
Each year the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery program grants 50,000 lucky permanent resident visas ("green cards") to people who meet eligibility requirements from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. Eligibility
To be eligible for the Green Card Lottery:
- You must be an inhabitant of an eligible country. (The Green Card Lottery is not available to people who come from countries that have sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the United States in the past five years.)
- You must have a high school diploma (or its equivalent) or two years of experience in a job requiring at least two years of training or experience.

There are two ways to enter the Green card Lottery (also known as the Diversity Visa Lottery). The first is through the U.S. Department of State website. The second is through a professional immigration service, such as World Immigration Center.

Application Process
Winning the Green Card Lottery does not automatically grant United States Citizenship. Several forms must be submitted and approved by the U.S. government before permanent residence is awarded.
